A Day of Thrilling Football Action
On Saturday, 7th September, the ACCA Sponsor Event commenced with a word of prayer and the national anthem, setting the stage for an exciting day of competitive football. The ground was buzzing with energy as various college teams battled for the top spot, cheered on by an enthusiastic crowd.
The tournament featured intense matches right from the initial stages. Jaffery College squared off against Memon College in a challenging match from Pool A, while the University of Nairobi (UON) played strongly with Vision College in Pool B. Mombasa Aviation College also had a fierce contest against ICS College in Pool A, and JKUAT faced Bandari College in Pool B.
As the tournament progressed, the first semi-final saw Islamic Teachers Training College face off against Bandari Maritime Academy, with Bandari advancing to the finals after a well-fought game. In the second semi-final, Jips College went head-to-head with Vision College. Vision won and secured their place in the final.
For the third-place match, Jips faced Islamic Teachers Training College, and after an intense battle, Jips emerged victorious, claiming the third position. The final match between Bandari and Vision College was the highlight of the day, with Bandari winning the championship, while Vision College took second place.
In total, the event featured thrilling matches like Jaffery College vs. ICS College, and Islamic Teachers Training College vs. Mombasa Aviation College, all of which contributed to the day’s excitement. The event was marked by skilful plays, great teamwork, and the undying passion of the players.
